I have been struggling with anxiety, sometimes panic attack since high school. Thank you for explaining the spectrum of stress though its personal as you mentioned but I can really relate to what you have been through brother. Im so encouraged by what you said "God can use those opportunities to teach us things, thankful for the sleepless nights because I've learnt how to pray and turn my attention to Him." I'm still struggling with anxiety, sometimes panic attack please pray for me. Thank you for sharing

I respect your right to de-commercialize your Christmas celebration. We do put up a tree just because it’s pretty, but we choose decorations that honor Jesus and his birth, and remembrances of family and friends, so we can celebrate together although we are far apart. We have a big nativity scene to remind us of why we are celebrating. I hate the gift giving thing- it’s way out of hand. One year we all made things for each other and that was the best Christmas ever. We have a homemade meal and say special prayers before we eat, thanking God for his Son. And we go to church too- I love Christmas hymns! I am wondering why you don’t watch films like The Nativity Story? Very well done, very realistic. God bless your family. Your children are healthy and happy. Do you have any special family traditions around Christmas? Special baking, or tree plantings, making gifts for other families, or gathering with friends and family? Special treats such as fancy breads or homemade cookies? Kids love the anticipation of special celebrations. I just think they can honor Christ and still have a few neat things to look forward to as well. ❤

Hey, brother! This was such a good explanation of how a panic attack feels, probably the best one I've heard. All my life I thought I would never experience this... but it happened. I got saved last year, praise the Lord (also out of the new age). Some time before I got saved I had a near death experience, because I was on a keto diet that severely messed up my biochemistry and was on medications that caused the NDE. I had all those palpitations and heart race due to the keto diet for months. But the panic attacks actually started right when I started preaching the gospel. I had this immense fear that I was getting a heart attack. Went to a doctor and was prescribed a light medication that regulated my pulse, because I used to have 120 betas per minute almost constantly. All my tests were fine, my heart is healthy. I'm doing great now, praise the Lord and maybe will stop the med soon. However, on very rare occasions before sleep I still sense an attack coming. I can now tell it's completely demonic, because it does feel like an attack from the outside and with more experience I can tell better what's happening (not like the first time I got it). I went to a psychiatrist who told me that I must learn how to prolong the escalation process when a panic attack approaches, so what I do is just deep breathing and praying + rebuking satan. Putting all my focus on Jesus. Demons try to distract you, but you keep your focus on Jesus as if you're walking on water. I started wearing a head covering a month ago and I must say that this really helped and I very rarely get attacks (not talking about panic attacks, because I don't have them anymore, but just regular demonic attacks). Sport is a thing that I was recommended by the psychiatrist (guilty, I don't do it) that is beneficial for the heart and help regulate the stress levels. Forgot to mention that while I was going through this intense process the Lord was constantly speaking to me "Don't be frightened" and reminding me of the verse "Have I not COMMANDED you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9). I call this the golden verse and command for panic attacks 💓 Praying for you, brother and for your family, and everyone in the comment section who is going through this. "Do not be frightened", commands the Lord 💪✝️💓

Thanks so much. I too struggle with panic attacks. So far I can stand against the fear by calling my sister and talking about what I’m studying in the Bible. And most recently I discovered your music videos and watch those to help refocus my thoughts. Thanks for sharing your story I was afraid that my anxiety and fears means I’m not trusting God. That’s what God is teaching me.
